HAMWIC HARRIERS RUNNING CLUB
Hamwic Harriers are a small, friendly and inclusive running club based on the Common in Southampton. Whether you are completely new to the sport, or an experienced runner, we welcome and support everyone. We are a UKA Affiliated club, also now taking part in the Hampshire Cross Country League, Hampshire Road Race League, RR10, and CC6 cross country events in 2024 & 2025.
Welcome to Hamwic Harriers
We are a diverse community of runners of all abilities. Through our training, group running experiences, and participation in running events, we encourage and support our members to attain their running goals. We foster a team spirit of camaraderie, give back to the local running community and respect each other’s values and opinions.
Like all great teams, we value collaboration and partnership. Each person in our club is as important as the next. We respect all opinions and make sure every voice is heard. Together we can change the world.
If you put in the work, you will see the improvements. Our coaches and run leaders have many years experience as runners, run leaders and in coaching who will support and motivate you. Wednesday night training includes warm up exercises, technique and drills, and a variety of sessions accessble for all runners, with varying focus and outcomes. This season we have also started to offer track nights at Southampton Sports Centre, whilst every week there are social runs, as well as regular time trials, so you can see the improvements happening!
