Hamwic Harriers

If you can run 5k without stopping and want to run #betterthanbefore we can help. Our qualified coaching and run leading team hold mixed ability sessions to improve both speed and performance. If you are completely new to running, keep an eye out for our regular Couch to 5k Programmes, or drop us a line to find out more about C25K which is the perfect introduction to running and the club. You do not need to be a member to participate in this either, it is open to all!

We meet every Wednesday at 18:30 outside the Hawthorns Cafe on Southampton Common. Occasional sessions may start at the Sports Centre outside the Vue Bar. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for the most up to date session information. On Mondays we have a social run with mix pace groups, 18.30 meet at the South entrance to the Common by blue gates on Cemetary Road.

Every session is fully risk assessed but every runner is responsible for their own safety. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions and do not run if you are injured or feeling unwell. Should you need to stop mid session, please let us know before you leave.

Run leaders reserve the right to refuse to let you run if this is deemed necessary, and over the winter, bright clothing and chest lights or head torches are essential. Sadly, we are not able to accept runners under the age of 15 as members although they may be allowed to run with us at the discretion of the coach. This needs to be approved in advance of the session.

We regularly take photographs during sessions. These may be used on our Social Media pages and for marketing purposes. If you do not want your photograph used please let us know.
